Join this Fusion Page to be part of our great discussions about books! What's happening at the library? February NewsletterDear Tyler Families:
It’s an exciting time in the Library! Fifth grade students are learning how to find resources to help them with their amazing science fair projects, while fourth graders are participating in interesting discussions about books on the Tyler Library fusion page. Third grade students are using reference sources and online databases to practice their geography skills for Social Studies, while second grade students are learning how to find information books in the nonfiction section of the library. We have been having a great time responding to stories using Paint software in First Grade, and Kindergartners have been visiting favorite storybook characters on safe and appropriate web sites.
If you would like to help your child use any of the databases to which Prince William County Schools subscribes, such as World Book Online, the username and password information is available at the library. (It may not be posted online.) You just need an internet connection, at home, or at the public library, to find many resources to help with research and school projects.
Thank you for continuing to support reading and discussing books with your child at home. Stop by anytime to explore the library and see the exciting things the students are learning! Library Links |
